Destiny’s theme song, written and recorded by Beatles’ star Paul McCartney, has been released as a single.
The song, which you can hear below, was written by McCartney in collaboration with former Bungie composer Marty O’Donnell and features vocals from the man himself. It’s a fully orchestrated piece, which was recorded at Abbey Road with a 120-piece ensemble.
Called Hope for the Future, the main theme present throughout is light triumphing over darkness. Fitting, seeing as it appears over the game’s end credits. As for whether it’s any good or not… well, we’ll let you be the judge of that.
McCartney announced his involvement in Destiny back in 2012.
